Buxlow School offers a broad range of sports and activities as part of our Physical Education curriculum. We  provide children with quality teaching in a variety of sports. Ultimately we are aiming to instill in the children a positive attitude towards sport and health related fitness. The foundation we provide encourages them to engage enthusiastically in physical activities throughout the remainder of their education, and indeed, the rest of their lives.

We use off site facilities for our sports lessons which are taught on a co-educational basis. The variety of sports taught includes athletics, cricket, cross country, football, gymnastics, rounders, tag rugby and hockey. Games lessons are delivered by specialist staff according to the aims and objectives set out in the National Curriculum.

Upper School children participate in weekly lessons throughout the year, taught off-site by specialist swimming instructors. The lessons are taught on a co-educational basis and in groups according to assessment level.

Every child participates in our annual Sports Day held in July at Kenton Cricket Club. We also take part in other sporting activities throughout the year – please see our Diary Dates page.
