Getting to know Buxlow

It is often said that, next to a happy home, a quality education is the best gift parents can give their child. However, the process of finding the right school for your daughter or son is not one which can be entered into lightly.  We trust that once you have explored our website you will wish to come and visit Buxlow to experience first-hand the high level of teaching and pastoral care which Buxlow prides itself on.

To arrange your private tour of Buxlow, or to book a place on the next Open Morning, please telephone the School Secretary (020 8904 3615) or email Tours can be arranged for either the EYFS department (Nursery, Pre-school and Reception), the Lower School (Years 1 and 2); and/or the Upper School (Years 3 to 6).

Confidently Co-educational

Co-educational learning at Buxlow is tried, true and successful. Co-education is a natural, normal and healthy learning environment and, at Buxlow girls and boys work and learn together just as they will in their adult lives, they are provided with a great advantage in their preparation for their future. Our programmes encourage children to learn in and through mixed gender experiences. Our teachers are alert to gender issues in their teaching styles and programmes. Student achievement in all parts of the School’s programme are testament to the success of this philosophy.

We know that co-education at Buxlow works because our children have:

  • high self-esteem;
  • positive learning environments;
  • positive outlooks on Mathematics and Science;
  • respect for the opposite gender;
  • broad participation in sports; and
  • outstanding behaviour and personal conduct.

We look forward to meeting you.
