Our pupils are curious and caring; are positive and polite; and creative and caring - each one a hugely important member of our strong and supportive community, contributing to a learning environment that ensures our children are happy, engaged and positive learners from their very first day.

Learning in Nursery is facilitated by a brilliant team of practitioners. Our staff know each child individually, helping children to develop strong personal links with a range of adults, not just one key worker. This gives our children the wonderful confidence needed to explore and engage, and likewise, helps us to take advantage of every learning opportunity. In addition to scheduled activities incorporating the different areas of learning in the Early Years, children explore activities and resources independently, and our brilliant and knowledgable team identify learning opportunities to reinforce concepts and knowledge, helping children to recognise the fun that learning can bring.

Children in Buxlow Nursery enjoy a wide range of learning opportunities. We cover the 7 EYFS Areas of Learning using a variety of different strategies ensuring that we are able to engage and support every child in their learning. Children likewise enjoy lessons delivered by subject specialists in French, Music, Drama and Sport, giving them wonderful learning opportunities to develop key skills in exciting elements of the curriculum. Children are also given access to materials building their understanding of coding, and the curriculum also incorporates elements of dance, yoga and STEM, delivering an innovative and engaging range of subjects for our pupils to access and enjoy.

We are very proud of our Nursery provision, and of each child starting their learning journey with us at Buxlow. Each day is wonderfully exciting, providing children with stories to rush to the gate at pick-up to share with the family.
